Peñacastillo to Santillana del Mar

I started my journey at 7:30 after breakfast and right at the same spot where I had my accident three days ago. I was happy with the learnings and I was ready to move on. I started walking towards Santillana Del Mar. The walk was peaceful, learning to use the trekking poles which proved to be very useful. I had a little snack on the way and reached the town around 14:00. Santillana Del Mar is stunning - no wonder why Spaniards consider it one of the prettiest towns in Spain. In Santillana del Mar, I had the most wonderful lunch so far. The hostal was small, cheap and fantastic. I felt great after my walk. It felt like a better day altogether. 

May 16th was the day I met Encarnación for the first time,  having coffee and bocadillo de patatas with cheese at the Bar La Fuente, in a town called Mar.
