Santillana del Mar to Comillas

My nose, lip and knee are healing from their minor bruises. I woke up to a lovely breakfast at the hotel and hit the road quite early.  On my first stop around the 10th Km, Encarnación joined me and we walked together all the way to Comillas. She is such a good company. She is energy, compassion, friendship, loyalty, love, music, good vibes, poetry.  She felt like family. We chatted, stopped when needed, laughed and had snacks along the way. In Comillas we had a bocadillo de rabas out of this world. I checked and my very first blister has now grown considerably. I reached Comillas with great pain. After taking care of the blister and checking in a lovely hotel, I headed for Villa Quijano, a.k.a. El Capricho de Gaudí where I met Encarnación again. I had such a great time seeing how ordinary things can be turned into extraordinary pieces of art. God is on the details -not the devil. I headed back to the hotel to allow my blister to heal for the next day.
