Colombres to Llanes

Encarnación spent the night in La Franca (3 km away from me) and we agreed on meeting at 6:30 so I started still during the early hours (with no daylight) and I got lost, despite the headlamp my brother Milton got me before my trip.  Turns out that I followed the bike route instead of the regular path (because I thought it would be quicker) and it took me to a dead end in the middle of the highway. I had a 20 min delay and had to walk 2 additional km to meet Encarnación. In any case, we started to walk at a very good pace to reach the coast path. We had breakfast at the Pendueles train station and it started to pour rain over us. The day was beautiful and the rest of the walk was absolutely stunning -rain included, with an off-road along the sea, cliffs, caves, mountains, dirty roads, cows, sheep and else - including a lovely walk by the beach.  After a long break from Albergues and Hostales, Enmarcacion helped me recover my healthy dose of selfishness and go back to sleeping with other despite my snoring/apnea. At the end of the day, she knows better. This is her 10th camino. Hats off.
