With Encarnita, we left at 6:30 and we got lost at least twice. We walked very close to the Picos de Europa and reached Ribadesella, midpoint of my Camino (417 km).  Such an accomplishment! We had a lovely breakfast with coffee and tortilla. Then we reached Bernes where an Hospitalero asks people to write their hometown and the distance/direction. We had a coffee and a local pastry with vieiras (conchas) which are then taken by the buyer as a souvenir. We reached the Espasa beach and walked for at least 30 minutes or 1.5 km literally on the now freezing Cantabric water.  We reached La Isla and ate pizza with beer before heading to the hostal.
