Zarautz to Deba

This was a tough day. After leaving Zarautz and the beautiful coastline - and a glimpse of the Flysch rocks (UNESCO Heritage), the third day of walking was challenging to say the least. I stopped half way because I couldn’t move any further. My legs and feet were in pain. I ate fruits and drank water to continue in a series of ups and downs. My stomach, quite upset for the past five or six days, finally acted up while walking.  A public toilet in Getaria literally saved the day. The trickiest part was the final descent into Deba (300m descent in 45-50 minutes). I checked in at the Hostal and headed for a lovely lunch and my second dip in the ocean. I had a 37 min lovely and reenergizing chat with Ana María by the sea and headed back to the Hostal.
